About Us
Based in Colorado, Scavarun was an idea sparked on a run by our founder, Nate McHenry. As an avid local runner, Nate wanted to help create FUN ways to engage the running community. Running is a gift that Nate relishes after surviving a serious running accident in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2019.
After dozens of conversations, brainstorms, and edits, the idea of Scavarun became a reality. Nate commissioned a talented artist, Vince Black, to hand sketch all of Scavarun’s illustrations. You can read more about Nate and Vince’s stories below.
